Fiest of all I love these earbuds. Finally earbuds with active NC and without these weird rubber thingies that slip off when sweating a little. The sound is really great with the correct equalizer settings(see picture). I have had no problems connection wise until the new firmware update came.
With this new firmware update 14.05, the earbuds all of a sudden started to have little connection drops. I have had no issues like this before the update.
It would be great if soundcore could look into this and offer a fix.
I wanted to give a good review considering I've bought a lot of soundcore products over the years, but I've noticed with each product that something gets worse. It could be a firmware update, the product itself, lack of features, customer service, or the app itself.
These are no different. They sound okay once you customize the EQ because nobody needs 22 different variations and base up is really just a flat EQ with enhanced bass.
You cannot upload a receipt for warranty in the app because the app cannot find a way to enable permission to access photos on the phone. This is not an Android problem. The bottom icons on the screen are for local files so that you can play those. Unfortunately, that doesn't work either, probably because of permissions that cannot be enabled.
These don't have touch since they've controls and use a small physical button instead. That's quite odd.
Customer service is absolutely non-existent. The chat is a chat bot and we know that's useless. You can send an email if you can find their email, but it turns into a chain of auto responses. You'll also notice that there is no explanation for the light on the case to let you know the level of charge that it's at and the battery icons for the left and right bud inside the app is just a static image.
To further the complicated mess that is the app. You'll also notice that the words used are a bad translation of Chinese to English. This is first and foremost Pathetic and lazy and definitely an indicator that these are Chinese quality.
It's for all of the above reasons of declining quality that this will be the last Anker purchase I make whether it's audio or hardware. (Chargers, cables, etc)
They worked great, loved them, but 6 months in the stopped working, so I went through the warranty system they have, sent the old ones in, got new ones back. Those worked for another 5 months until they broke again, I try to get the warranty and they tell me to just keep them and they'll send a new pair. Well the new pair they sent came broken from the box. I try to contact customer support and I'm led on a week long email chain, just to be told in the end they can't do anything other than give me 20% off.
TL;DR: They are fine, but don't expect anything great from the customer service
I’ve owned these for 6 months. Had to purchase another pair because my first one went out all of a sudden. But so far my 2nd pair has been great. But like Sara was saying the latest update messed them up a little. There would be little connection drops here and there when listening to music a new software update would be nice to address that bug but other than that they have been fantastic! I love messing around with the eq, barely do it but when I do it’s always fun. My favorite eq is the Piano eq because it makes the music sound like it’s coming to life and it sounds very full.
A recent phone upgrade of mine to a Motorola edge 30 fusion "broke" the buds sound control button (sound up or down) operation. Software needs a fix. Otherwise, these are the best buds I've ever had for a moderately priced earbud.
