I bought this speaker for a party I had with almost 300 people outside and it was actually still loud enough over all the other noise, I had it tied to a bridge that was about 25 feet above the party. Some idiot at the party cut the rope off the speaker and threw it off the bridge and then threw it again into a river, after cleaning up the next day I found the speaker down the river and it was under water for over 14 hours and with only a couple small dents I brought it home and charged it and it worked completely fine. 10/10 speaker I would recommend this to anyone looking for a loud, lightweight and durable speaker and for a price like this it’s absolutely your best bang for your buck.
I bought this speaker on a whim and was kinda regretting spending the money until I got a chance to listen to it. I have an Aomais Go speaker that I've used for years that is similar to this Soundcore Motion Boom. They are both Bluetooth, waterproof, have big batteries that can be used as battery banks, and they're both very loud.
Except the Soundcore Motion Boom has much clearer sound and louder sound. It does all of this in a smaller package as well (see pic for comparison between this speaker, my old speaker, and a drink can). The app is really cool as well, because you can choose an EQ or make your own.
Frankly, I'm blown away by the quality of this thing. I would definitely recommend getting it over one of those tiny Bluetooth speakers with no volume or bass. I can hear this speaker throughout my entire house when I have the volume up!
Size: small (like a clutch purse)
Weight: light, could be help for extended periods
Volume: very loud, can be heard from outside my house at max volume (you could get noise complaints with this speaker), would work for a fairly large house party!
Sound quality: 10/10 (I own expensive Sennheiser headphones and don't notice a difference in sound quality)
Bass: 10/10 (if you're not happy with the bass, hit bass boost and/or tweak the EQ through the app)
Functionality: portable, waterproof, and huge battery; it's perfect for a day at the beach, pool party, house party, etc.
Style: black on black is classic, but some color options would've been nice (especially white for outdoor summer use)
Value: it's a great value, but Bluetooth speakers can be found for less if you're willing to sacrifice quality
It's all about the BA...bass? No. It started off that way. I'm hearing impaired and needed deeper tones in some of my podcasts (and dance tunes) so we purchased this. We have played it almost everyday since Christmas and it is STILL on its FIRST charge! This battery should be on the ISS! I mean seriously - it's amazing. My friends on FB are placing bets on how long it will last. Anyhoo - it's a great little purchase. It sounds amazing. The bass is deep but because the battery is so heavy, it doesn't bounce away - or off the table. And truthfully, the basic sound is so rich, I don't always need to turn the bass feature on - but when I do - my neighbors prob hate me lol. Get it. You'll be happy.
