Has great potential BUT....

My wife purchased this for me cause I needed something to replace my JBL Charge 5. This unit is about double the size of a Charge in overall height and roughly the same width. The sound qaulity is very defined, crisp and clear but I do have some issues. 1st is depending on the artist and track you will find yourself constantly changing the sound profile. The mini driver up top that disperts sound upward to create the spatial sound can sound harsh/tinny on certain tracks or artists. I found myself messing with the EQ on the app to fix. Next is the overall size, weight and power is almost doubled of a JBL Charge but not overally louder in DB. Now it does sound good! Don't get me wrong but I expected a little more punch for its size. Next is battery life is horrible. They claim 12hrs (Compared to JBL claim of 20) but this is at 60% volume or less and with the LDAC OFF. If you play this 70% or higher with LDAC on you might get 5 hrs. I played 4 hrs straight and had 20% left on. Horrrible for a speaker this size with room for a bigger battery. SO now I don't use LDAC cause it pulls roughly 3x more processing power for not that much more qaulity. One more grip is the lack of an AUX port. ALMOST returned it due to this but decided to keep it and buy another speaker with AUX. I'm not sure why more and more companies are deleting this once EVERYWHERE feature. I like to connect my speakers to a movie projector and portable gaming consoles that do not have Bluetooth via a tiny 3.5mm jack. Not here on this unit.
So let's break it down....

PROS:
Great sound qaulity
Impressive Build Qaulity
Fair Price
Taller soundstage

CONS:
Poor battery life
No AUX
Still to big to consider portable. Takes up twice the space of a JBL Charge and about 3x the space as a Flip
Heavy

Conclusion:
Am I happy with this unit? In short Yes. This is Gen 1 of the new Xmotion speakers and can only see them getting better as they progress. Detail is nice but the poor battery, bigger size and weight and no aux takes this speaker OUT of the class of "My Go To Speaker". Will have to give that title to the JBL and keep this one stationary on my toolbox constantly plugged in as my shop speaker ;)

Great Speaker X500

Just I got today, so sound looks same as Motion X600. I love so much this with FX sound Enhancer software. Only disappointed with No AUX input, compare with X600. There is 3 kind spatial sound. Awesome for big sound from small solid build quality.
